# Notes

Notes let you add custom text content to your knowledge base without needing a web page.

## Creating a note

1. Navigate to [**AI > Notes**](/workspace/_/ai/notes) in the dashboard.
2. Click **Add note**.
3. Enter a name (max 50 characters) and write your content (max 1000 characters).
4. Save the note, it will be indexed immediately.

## Use cases

- FAQ answers that aren't on your website.
- Internal policies or procedures for the assistant to reference.
- Product details or specifications.
- Custom responses for common questions.

## Formatting

Notes are plain text. Write naturally, the AI assistant will understand and reference the content when relevant.
